Over the past 75 years, the use of video as a tool in learning and development has undergone significant changes. It has become an integral part of our lives, particularly in the realm of learning. Nearly everyone has turned to platforms, like YouTube, to find information and learn new things. In recent times, the amount of video content being uploaded to public sites like YouTube, TikTok, and internal systems like LMS has increased dramatically.
With the growth and advancement of User Generated Content (UGC), there is now a higher expectation for the quality and focus of the videos we create. So, how do we ensure that our videos are effective in achieving the desired learning outcomes? Should we incorporate camera footage? Are animations or screen recordings as effective as non-screen-based content? Should we include music? These are just a few of the many questions we must consider.
